DESCRIPTION:
LPW - Swiss, in the style of Bovet of Fleurier, Chinese market cylinder pendant watch with polychrome enamel rear and seed pearl borders, originally with center-seconds, 33mm, gilt metal OF original case with spectacular polychrome enamel woman's portrait to rear against a green guilloche background, seed pearls inset to bezel, rear perimeter, pendant and bow, white enamel dial, KWKS, cylinder escapement, 10J, standing barrel, gilt mvt, s#93 within cuvette. A beautiful piece case with rear enameling having vibrant color detail.
CONDITION:
Mvt: NR, likely broken mainspring, balance will tick with pressure held at second wheel, stopworks with a broken portion of its Maltese cross, overhaul needed, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, few fine to micro-fine scratches, oxide to steelwork; dial with short fine scratch above center, perimeter hl at 4, few pinpoint surface nicks near 9 and 11; minute and sweep-seconds hands are missing though posts for hands are present, hour hand is a replacement with its tip cut off; case shows light wear, few very small nicks to sides, no dents or dings, rear enameling fully present with few short scratches at right perimeter, two seed pearls missing from front of bow with remainder present throughout, gilt finish largely intact, cuvette with fine scratches from past key slips; bow pivots freely, push shows light wear and dings to front and rear; good glass crystal.
